PPG’s portfolio of paints and coatings for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) will be featured at The Battery Show, which takes place at the Messe Stuttgart exhibition center in Stuttgart, Germany, May 23-25, 2023.
PPG’s exhibit (booth #8-D45) includes battery fire protection and thermal management solutions, as well as dielectric coating systems that improve performance, durability and safety, along with other coatings technologies that are supporting the shift to battery EVs.
Coatings solutions from PPG for the design, construction and production of lithium-ion battery cells, modules and packs will also be featured. These coatings are said to improve performance, safety and manufacturability, enabling automakers, and battery and component manufacturers to accelerate the development of energy storage solutions.
“Battery electric vehicles are the new frontier in sustainable mobility,” says Cedric Zipperlin, PPG director, commercial excellence, automotive coatings, EMEA. “Along with protecting and beautifying vehicles, PPG delivers innovative and customer-specific, lithium-ion battery pack solutions that touch virtually every area of battery design and construction. These innovative technologies improve driver safety, assist customers in meeting sustainability goals and increase manufacturability.”
