Whether you are new to powder coating or an experienced industry veteran, Powder Coating Institute’s (PCI) Powder Coating Week 2024 will be of interest to you. The annual event, which returns to Orlando, Florida, this year from March 11 to 13, is a great opportunity for powder coating industry professionals to expand their knowledge and network with colleagues. The program, comprised of four separate events, offers the perfect combination of training, presentations, technical sessions, tabletop exhibits, roundtable discussions, expert panels and social activities.
Registration is now open for each of the four programs — Powder Coating 101 Workshop, Custom Coater Forum, Powder Coating 2024 Technical Conference and Powder Coating 2024 Tabletop Exhibition. Each require a separate registration fee. There are discounted combination fees to attend the Technical Conference with either the Powder Coating 101 Workshop or the Custom Coater Forum.
“We will be back at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, which is a perfect venue for this event,” says Kevin Coursin, PCI’s executive director. “We have many new technical presentations, including a session dedicated to young professionals. We are looking forward to another great event in Orlando.”
Workshop for the basics

If an introduction to powder coating is needed, the Powder Coating 101 Workshop is an especially useful 1.5-day event where industry experts present on topics including materials, application, reclamation, testing and evaluation, quality control and powder manufacturing process and more. This PCI training workshop, beginning the morning of Monday, March 11 and ending March 12 at 11 a.m., is unbiased, commercial-free, and provides a great foundation for the Technical Conference that follows through the week. Furthermore, the event offers networking opportunities during lunch and breaks and includes admission to the tabletop exhibits at certain times.
For custom powder coaters
Designed especially for custom powder coaters, the Custom Coater Forum helps industry leaders and professionals foster business learning and networking among colleagues. The forum, which begins with lunch at noon on Monday, March 11, includes presentations on timely issues and roundtable discussions that often offer troubleshooting insight. This year, leveraging social media use, troubleshooting problems using test panels, and increasing lead generation through the company’s PCI website listing are on the agenda. The forum also includes admission to the tabletop exhibits at certain times.
Further educational sessions
Featuring general sessions for all powder coaters and breakout sessions covering all aspects of powder coating, PCI’s Technical Conference begins with breakfast on Tuesday, March 12. The conference, which continues until Wednesday, March 13 at lunch, also includes admission to the tabletop
exhibition. The conference offers information on the latest innovations. This year’s keynote speaker is economist Chris Kuehl with Armada Corporate Intelligence, who will share his insights on the U.S. and global economies as well as the upcoming presidential election.
Tabletop exhibits
The Powder Coating Week Tabletop Exhibition showcases the latest innovations in powder coating and enables attendees to connect with industry experts and explore new opportunities. Tabletop exhibits will be open at the evening reception on Monday, March 11, and during lunch and the evening reception on Tuesday, March 12. The exhibition is open to all Powder Coating Week attendees at certain times — see event website and brochure for details.
