Fall Ecoat Bootcamp Scheduled for October
The Electrocoat Association’s Fall 2023 Ecoat Bootcamp will take place in Raleigh, NC, October 3-5, 2023.
The Fall 2023 installment of the Electrocoat Association’s Ecoat Bootcamp is an interactive 2-day program to meet the technical needs of electrocoaters and those interested in learning more about the industry. The event will take place at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel on October 3-5, 2023.
Attendees will review the basics before taking a deeper dive into cost and process efficiencies, quality control, troubleshooting and innovative technology. Attendees will walk away with ideas and strategies for improving their own systems.
In addition, The Electrocoat Association invites attendees to a complimentary tour of the John Deere Turf Care (JDTC) facility on the morning of October 5. JDTC manufactures Golf and Commercial Mowing Equipment. The paint system has been in operation since 1997 and consists of a 6-stage 1,000-gal spray iron phosphate, chrome seal, and final RO pretreatment process, followed by a 3-stage water-based epoxy e coat process (1- 11,000 gal electrocoat dip tank and 2-1,000-gal post rinses). Ancillary Support Equipment includes a 3 cartridge UF module, e-coat recirculation pump system, 2 DC rectifiers, 14 tube cell anodes, anolyte system, RO water generation system, resin and paste addition equipment, 1- 10,000 holding tank, and a WWT process for pretreatment and electrocoat waste. Additionally, the painting operation includes 2 gas fired ovens for curing e coat and powder, along with 2 powder coat booths (1 green powder and 1 black powder).
There will be a “Meet the Speakers” networking reception held onsite on the first day of the event, providing an opportunity to interact with industry leaders about your system and process or network with other attendees.
