Wisconsin's Hartford Finishing Growing, Adding 94 Jobs

 

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker joined company leaders to announce the addition of 94 new jobs at Hartford Finishing, Inc., a powder coating and painting firm, and its sister companies.  The jobs announcement coincides with the opening of the company’s new paint line.

 

“Every time a company adds 5, 10, or 15 jobs it is cause for celebration, because it means that many more workers are able to provide for their families and save for their futures,” said Governor Walker.  “Today, we are able to announce dozens of new jobs in the Hartford community.  Congratulations to Hartford Finishing, Inc. on this expansion and thank you for your commitment to growing in Wisconsin.”

 

Wendorff Bros. Co. is the parent company of Hartford Finishing and several sister companies including: Steel Craft Corporation, a metal fabricating firm; Capitol Stampings, a metal stamping and forming company out of Milwaukee; and Sno-Way International, a snow and ice removal equipment company.    

                                                              

Phase one of the $12 million expansion project adds 110,000 square feet to the Steel Craft Corporation building in Hartford.  Phase two includes upgrades to the original Hartford Finishing building.  Hartford Finishing, Steel Craft Corporation, and Capitol Stampings plan to add a combined 94 new jobs, due to increased business from the expansion.   The parent company is eligible for up to $400,000 in Economic Development Tax Credits.

 

Hartford Finishing, Inc. was founded in 1986 and has grown into one of the largest contract powder coaters in the Midwest, and the largest in Wisconsin.  The company currently employs 180 workers and houses six separate state of the art powder painting systems, a full service assembly area, stripping center, wet paint line, and 12 loading docks.
