The National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF, Washington, D.C.) will hold its 2024 Washington Forum September 16-18 at the historic Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C. This finishing industry event offers the opportunity to network with peers, industry leaders and experts, and gain important insights into legislative policy and regulations affecting finishing and coating operations in the U.S.

The NASF says this year's Forum is set to bring together some of the brightest minds and most influential voices in the field.

The Forum will kick off on Monday, September 16, with a Welcome Reception where attendees can exchange ideas and establish connections — all in the elegant backdrop of The Willard Hotel.

Tuesday, September 17, promises a full day of presentations and discussions designed to provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the surface finishing industry. Attendees will receive a comprehensive overview of the latest initiatives and priorities shaping the sector. A "U.S. Economic Update" will then offer a broad look at the current economic landscape, helping businesses understand the larger trends influencing their operations.

Attendees will also find sessions on the following topics:

  • Scenarios for the US Trade and Automotive Agenda
  • Nickel Regulatory Outlook
  • Department of Defense and Environment presentation
  • EPA’s PFAS Wastewater Rulemaking
  • Sessions on Chromium, PFAS, and Drinking Water
  • Labor and Workplace Agenda: Review and Outlook
  • U.S. Defense Industrial Base

Attendees will also prepare for Congressional meetings on Capitol Hill — an opportunity to meet with lawmakers and their staff, advocating for policies that are crucial to the future of the surface finishing industry.
