IHEA Presents 2024-2025 Board of Directors, Officers
New and ongoing members continue to promote the interests of industrial furnace manufacturers.

The Industrial Heating Equipment Association (IHEA) has announced its 2024-2025 board of directors and executive officers. Taking over as president is Jeff Rafter of Selas Heat Technology Co. LLC; Gary Berwick of Dry Coolers Inc as vice president; Karl Dungs Inc.’s Jason Safarz as treasurer; and Brian Kelly of Honeywell Thermal Solutions assuming the position for past president.
Rafter has been an active member of IHEA since 2020, participating on the Marketing Communication and Membership Committee, as well as speaking on multiple topics at IHEA’s “Combustion and Safety Standards and Codes” seminars. Most recently, Rafter became chair of the Sustainability Committee as IHEA forges a sustainable path for the industrial heating industry. When asked what goals he has for IHEA, Rafter says, “I am committed to continuing IHEA’s evolution into sustainability education and events to keep the organization at the forefront of energy transition. Through a leadership position on these challenging topics, we aim to increase value to the industry and grow membership.”

Established in 1929 to meet the need for effective group action in promoting the interests of industrial furnace manufacturers, IHEA has expanded and currently includes designers and manufacturers of all types of industrial heat processing equipment used for the melting, refining and heat processing of ferrous and nonferrous metals and certain nonmetallic materials and heat-treatment of products made from them.
