Astro Pak in Costa Mesa, California has acquired of Florida-based Chemko Technical Services. The newly acquired AS9100 Certified Class 10,000 square foot cleanroom facility in Florida equips the company to better serve the precision cleaning, testing and passivation requirements for Southeast based aerospace customers, says Ken Carroll, president of Astro Pak.
“It is exciting to have Chemko join the Astro Pak family. As Astro Pak continues to grow, this acquisition will allow us to better serve our customers, suppliers and employees of both organizations. We look forward to expanding the Astro Pak brand, while also embracing the knowledge and experience of Chemko,” Carroll said.
The company said all of the current employees of Chemko have stayed on board and will now work for the newly named facility: Chemko, a division of Astro Pak. In the future, the Chemko division will begin moving toward full integration within Astro Pak. Carroll said the top priorities during the initial phases of this acquisition are to create a seamless customer experience, to foster a welcoming environment for the staff, and strengthen the services and solutions that are offered within the region.
