Question:
What would be the best coating for 316 stainless steel when used around hydrofluorosilicic acid. J. H.
Answer:
Epoxy powder coatings have the best chemical resistance of most all thermoset coatings. I would try some out by performing a chemical immersion and/or airborne test first before committing to a large purchase of this material. Be sure that the selected coating has all the other properties (appearance, mechanical, corrosion, etc.) that suit your application, as well.
