Going For the Gold
Snapshots of the surface finishing industry.
Gold plating continues to be a leading finish for critical low-voltage signal transmission applications within the medical, defense, and electronic markets. It enables reliable connections by providing stable electrical conductivity without degradation from oxide formation. Gold plating also provides an excellent active surface for soldering or wire bonding.
Advanced Plating Technologies (APT) offers a wide variety of gold plating from 99.7% pure hard gold to 99.9% pure soft gold including duplex gold. The gold-plated components shown are one of example of many applications APT can provide gold plating for throughout electrical and interconnect markets.
