Plating Brightness Standard
Do you know of any brightness standards for bright tin plating?
Q. Do you know of any brightness standards for bright tin plating? H. R.
A. I’m not aware of any standards for brightness of any plated deposits. The brightness of the deposit depends not only on the plating bath but also on the surface of the parts being plated.
You will have to establish such standards yourself. Keep in mind that tin tarnishes as it ages and will loses brightness as a result.
