Protech/Oxyplast Acquires Powder Coating Business and Assets of Union City Industries
Michigan-based UCI is well recognized name in PVC powder coatings.
Protech/Oxyplast Group of Montreal, Canada has reached an agreement to purchase the thermoplastic powder coating business and assets of Union City Industries of Union City, Michigan. The transaction is expected to close by mid-October.
UCI is a well-recognized name in PVC powder coatings and has been providing a quality product and excellent service to its clients for many years.
“We are looking forward to joining the Protech family to grow the thermoplastics powder business together," said Union City's principle, Ben Chard. "We are excited about the products and capabilities that Protech can offer our long-standing customers.”
Protech fully expects to benefit from the excellent business relationships that UCI has developed over the years with its customers. Protech will integrate the UCI powder manufacturing operations into its own organization. Current customers of UCI will continue to be able to obtain the products they are currently purchasing and, as well, will now have access to Protech's worldwide network of products and technology.
