Toefco Expansion Adds 20,000-Square-Foot Coating Facility
Adding to its already operating two overhead conveyor lines with more than 400 available coating specs, Toefco increased both its capacity and capabilities with the addition of a new 20,000-square-foot, high-capacity, high-temperature coating facility.
Adding to its already operating two overhead conveyor lines with more than 400 available coating specs, Toefco Engineered Coating Systems in Niles, Michigan increased both its capacity and capabilities with the addition of a new 20,000-square-foot, high-capacity, high-temperature coating facility.
Toefco has been serving customers nationwide for more than 60 years, servicing a number of industries including automotive, agricultural, medical, food processing, compressor, heavy-duty truck and equipment, military and aerospace, and motorsports.
With a passion for the art and science of coating technology, Toefco has become known industry-wide for a willingness to innovate in construction-formulating coatings that precisely fit with the application's performance requirements.
"We can spray coat anything. Well, almost anything. The insight and commitment that goes into our application and the custom chemical process we use at Toefco really surpasses the 'dip and ship' approach you'll find elsewhere," says Artie McElwee, a Toefco executive manager with nearly 20 years under his belt.
The 20,000-square-foot facility has expanded its production line to meet demands, adding to the facility:
- The new line has an increased weight capacity of 750 pounds per hook and is capable of running oversized pieces up to 10 feet in length.
- With the ability to handle just about any high-temperature paint job, the new facility can employ coatings from suppliers such as Magnee, PPG, Valspar, Northern Coatings and others with high-quality results.
- The facility features a new powder booth, giving customers the option to use high-temp paint or powder processes.
- Two massive spray booths offer expansion room for future robotics upgrades on the line and use hospital-grade air for 100-percent efficiency and repeatability of results.
The Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new location on August 29. For information, visit toefco.com.
