Zinc Plating Information
Can you recommend a good reference for obtaining more information on these zinc plating processes?
Q. Our plating shop has cyanide zinc, acid zinc and alkaline zinc plating baths. It is now important that we document in more detail the processes that we are using. Can you recommend a good reference for obtaining more information on these zinc plating processes? M. S.
A. You said the right words. As far as I am concerned documentation of your plating processes is a critical part of doing a technical process in the 21st century.
The best reference book on zinc plating is Zinc Plating by Herb Geduld, ASM International, 1988. It is available at www.amazon.com. You may also be able to find other vendors by doing a Google search using the book title as your search term.
