Coating Applicator Reaches 60-Year Milestone

Orion Industries Ltd. (Chicago) celebrates its 60th anniversary as a coating applicator.
It serves primarily large and mid-size manufacturers and component suppliers in many industries including aerospace, defense, automotive, agriculture, food processing and cookware, chemical processing and numerous manufacturing applications.
In 1964, Orion was founded by Bruce Nesbitt. Orion began using Teflon coatings from DuPont (now Chemours), and became an authorized licensed applicator of Teflon in 1979. Today it is licensed by dozens of coating manufacturers.
The company earned quality certifications, including ISO 9001 and AS9100D and International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
Orion expanded in 2014 to its current 68,000 square foot location at 5492 N. Northwest Highway in Chicago, and still utilizes its previous production facility at 5170 N. Northwest Highway. Today Orion employs over 100 people.
