NASF New England Chapter to Hold In-Person Seminar
The seminar will cover training for the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), as well as hazard communication.
The National Association for Surface Finishing’s (NASF) New England Chapter will hold an in-person seminar on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, which will cover training for the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), as well as hazard communication.
This continuing education opportunity will include presentation topics such as the RCRA, hazard communication, inspection preparation and PFAS testing procedures. Lunch and registration will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., followed by the seminar, which will go until 5:00 p.m.
The seminar will take place at the Courtyard Marriott located at 75 Felton St., Marlborough, Massachusetts 01752. The cost of the seminar is $100 for members and $200 for non-members.
Presentation will include the following:
- Alisa Werst of HRP Associates will present on requirements designed to meet RCRA Reg 40CFR 265.16 annual hazardous waste handling and safety training requirements.
- Brian Morrill, associate principal and VP of GZA Environmental, will discuss how to successfully prepare for and handle and environmental audit and inspection.
- Jim Occhialini, technical specialist and VP of Alpha Analytical, will provide information on PFAS testing, with emphasis on sample collection, currently being required by sewer authorities throughout the state.
