Novaria Acquires Hohman Plating
Novaria continues to grow aerospace and defense capabilities with the acquisition of Dayton-based Hohman Plating.
Novaria Group (Fort Worth, Texas), manufacturer of specialty hardware, components and coatings for the aerospace and defense industries, has acquired substantially all assets of Hohman Plating (Dayton, Ohio), an industry-leading finishing and coatings business serving the worldwide aerospace and defense market.
The acquisition marks Novaria’s fifth transaction in the past 12 months as the company continues to grow its aerospace and defense capabilities.
Established in 1918, Hohman Plating provides metal finishing and coating services to a variety of industries, including aerospace, medical, defense, electronics and others.
“We are thrilled to have Hohman as a valued resource and partner as we continue to expand our operations,” Novaria CEO Bryan Perkins says. “The impressive approvals in metal finishing and proprietary coating options Hohman provides are unmatched in the industry and are fundamental to the customers we serve.”
“Hohman Plating’s capabilities further enhance our position in the aerospace and defense market,” Novaria Chief Financial Officer Justin Tucker adds. “We look forward to reinforcing our strength as a valued partner that provides quality services and a diverse set of products to our customers.”
Recognized as one of the top shops of metal finishing in North America and worldwide, Hohman Plating will continue to be based in Dayton, Ohio. Bill Miller, owner of Hohman Plating, will be joining Novaria’s board of directors.
“Our strength in the markets we serve, and the family nature of our business, makes us a perfect fit for the Novaria business model,” Miller says. “Hohman Plating is one of the best finishing operations in the industry. This partnership is the right strategic step in continuing the growth of both operations.”
