Carlisle iFlow GP Maximizes Dispensing Versatility
Carlisle’s new i-Flow GP shot meter dispensing system provides a versatile solution for applying single-component sealants and adhesives.
Carlisle Fluid Technologies (Scottsdale, Ariz.) has introduced its new i-Flow GP shot meter-based dispensing system. It works with a wide range of single-component sealant and adhesive applications including mastics, silicones, greases, epoxies, acrylics, urethanes and PVCs for non-automotive robotic dispensing systems.
The i-Flow GP’s closed-loop control provides precision over a wide range of flow rates, and smooth material flow reduces component wear to improve performance with shear-sensitive or filled materials. Short response times make the system more versatile for dealing with changes in material properties, with an optional stand-alone temperature control unit and heated hose further increasing versatility.
The i-Flow GP ships in 50, 100, 200 and 300 cc models, with a viscosity of up to 2,000,000 cps and a 1/3” NPT standard remote applicator. The flow rate extends up to 80 cc per second, and the pressure range reaches 5,000 psi — although both depend on the material and the model. The system features automatic calibration for simple commissioning, as well as 32 programmable styles and an intuitive touchscreen interface.
“The new i-Flow GP is a complete dispensing system that provides accurate, repeatable dispense performance and improved process control,” states Carl Penttila, Carlisle Fluid Technologies product manager. “The unit also provides easy integration with most fieldbus protocols including ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP and DeviceNet.”
