Pretreatment experts from Chemetall, the surface treatment global business unit of BASF Coatings, will be available in Salon P to discuss the company’s spectrum of products and systems designed to meet a variety of industry and application needs.
In particular, the company will spotlight its Oxsilan portfolio, which includes specially formulated pretreatments designed to meet or exceed ecoat industry requirements. This technology replaces conventional zinc phosphate pretreatments and provides all the benefits of an advanced pretreatment thin-film technology, the company says.
Chemetall also will also showcase its GardoFlex pretreatment technology, which combines the benefits of a conventional zinc phosphate with a multi-metal process that is said to provide “unlimited” throughput of aluminum. Easy to implement, the pretreatment is designed to reduce sludge and energy consumption, resulting in production cost efficiency.
