Sustainable Precious Metal Plating with Recycled Materials
Umicore's Nexyclus provides precious metal plating products made from recycled materials, offering sustainable and reliable solutions.
The Umicore Group (Germany) launches Nexyclus, a range of fully recycled precious metals. With these metals, the electroplating business line is able to offer its usual precious metal plating products containing up to 100% recycled precious metals on demand, the company says.
The availability of natural precious metal deposits is becoming increasingly
rare, which brings economic and environmental
challenges. Umicore is responding to this challenge with its idea of the circular economy and the launch of Nexyclus. The company also offers electrolytes and salts for plating with gold, silver and the platinum group metals including palladium and rhodium, which consist of 100% recycled precious metals.
The company is also offering its products as a sustainable alternative to the standard range. The recycled precious metals meet current standards, and the products manufactured with them do not differ in terms of electrolyte or plating characteristics.
