Q: I was told that a clamp ammeter is a good thing to have around the plating shop. Where can I purchase one? V.R.
A: A clamp ammeter can help you diagnose problems such as a bad connection or an anode basket that is not part of the electrical circuit. When I was last asked this question eight or nine years ago, finding a vendor required some searching through catalogs or calling around to different distributors of electrical equipment. How the world has changed! I Googled "clamp ammeter" and came up with many links for vendors. You should do the same.
