Columbia Chemical Begins Selling Direct In Mexico
Columbia Chemical has launched its latest international joint venture, Columbia Chemical de Mexico.

Columbia Chemical has launched its latest international joint venture, Columbia Chemical de Mexico, to provide direct sales and service support to the Mexican market. This move represents the company’s first registered, direct sales operation outside of the U.S. Branded Columbia Chemical products will be sold to plating operations that provide coating services to automotive OEM’s and various other types of manufacturers. Customers will be supplied and serviced from Columbia warehouses located in Guadalajara, Monterrey and Queretaro, Mexico.
Columbia Chemical de Mexico is being spearheaded by General Director Raymundo González and Sales Manager Adrian De la Torre. Mr. Gonzalez has over 25 years’ experience in the metal finishing industry, including ten years as a representative for Columbia Chemical products. Mr. De la Torre has over 15 years of experience in metal finishing.
“Customers can now communicate directly with us in a more competitive landscape. Direct sales allow us to provide the most timely lab analyses, product turnaround, and on-site technical service,” says Columbia President Brett Larick. “Mexico is a tremendously important market. Our commitment to direct sales symbolizes our commitment to this fast growing market.”
Mr. Gonzalez adds, “Columbia’s quality products and reasonable market pricing already have a strong following in Mexico. Colzinc ACF-II, Extreme Acid Zinc processes and SpectraMate 25 are the most requested.”
Increased demand for Columbia’s line of Zinc-Nickel plating processes and related products will also be strongly supported.
