ECOAT22 Fosters Education, Networking Opportunities
From discovering the latest technology and trends to sourcing new partners, ECOAT22 is the premier event for the electrocoating industry.

The past couple of years have been anything but normal, but the gradual return of in-person events and networking opportunities is helping to bring people together and get business back on track. For electrocoaters, it has been a long time since the industry has had a chance to reconnect and share insights.
“It’s been a difficult time for everyone, especially after we had to cancel ECOAT2020 due to the pandemic. The industry needs ECOAT22 now more than ever,” says Karen McGlothlin, conference manager and executive director for The Electrocoat Association.
ECOAT22 has something to offer ecoating professionals of all levels of experience. Whether you’re new to the industry, considering adding an ecoat line or have years of industry experience, you’ll find education and insights to help make informed decisions. Beginners will discover the value ecoating can add to their finishing operations, while experienced finishers will gain insights and explore ways to improve processes.
“ECOAT22 is a great way for finishers of other applications to discover how ecoat can benefit their own shops and operations,” says Todd Luciano, publisher of Products Finishing.
The event will be held April 19-21 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, Florida, and is presented by The Electrocoat Association and Products Finishing.

ECOAT22 highlights the emerging technologies and the brightest minds in the industry, providing attendees with the opportunity to expand their ecoat knowledge and connect with the world’s foremost experts. The event’s robust conference program offers a deep dive on everything electrocoating through keynote speeches, case studies and technical presentations, as well as open-forum discussions, networking opportunities and tabletop exhibits by industry suppliers.
“We’re so excited to bring you the highest quality event with a loaded education schedule, exciting networking opportunities, and a location that can’t be matched!” McGlothlin says.
The conference’s jampacked schedule offers more than 35 technical sessions from expert speakers covering topics such as problem-solving, cost savings and productivity, maintenance and best practices.
Keynote speakers include Jeff Oravitz, CEO of Seal for Life, and Peter Votruba-Drzal, Global Technical Director of Corporate Science and Technology for PPG, as they address transformation, changes and the future of ecoat. Amber Carlson-Hays, president of Archway Learning Solutions, will wrap up the conference with a discussion on effective communication styles and the differences between managing and coaching.

Preconference activities include an ECOAT Boot Camp 101 designed to offer an introduction to the process (or a helpful refresher), setting the stage for an exciting two days of technical presentations and panel discussions. For those eager to hit the links and reconnect with colleagues, the official ECOAT Golf Outing will take place on April 19th at the picturesque, PGA-quality course at ChampionsGate.
Also, don’t miss Exhibit Night — a networking event designed to provide one-stop technology sourcing. Leading industry suppliers host this event with products and solutions to enhance ecoating operations. Complete with refreshments and entertainment, Exhibit Night gives attendees the opportunity to meet with suppliers and experts in a no-pressure, fun atmosphere to discuss specific product and process issues.
Rarely has there been a time more crucial for networking. ECOAT22 is a great way to reconnect with the old friends that have helped build your business and the potential partners that could transform it.
