SUR/FIN 2024, the National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF) finishing industry trade show took place in early June in Atlanta, Georgia. The event boasted around 2,000 attendees, 150 exhibitors and more than 50 technical presentations. One of the highlights from the show included a keynote presentation from Chad Hogan, a lead engineer at Hill Air Force Base, who has spent his career researching new coatings including low hydrogen embrittlement zinc nickel (LHE ZnNi) to enable aircraft landing gear.
