Mike Boss Named Dürr Systems CEO and President
For the last nine years, Boss was chief engineer in the Ford Motor Company global paint engineering division.
Former Ford executive Mike Boss will take over as president and CEO of Dürr Systems from Bruno Welsch, who moves to a position in Dürr’s senior executive management. As CEO and president, Boss will be responsible for Dürr’s activities in paint and final assembly, application technology and clean technology in North America.
Boss studied chemical engineering, holds an MBA in business administration and has many years of experience in the automotive industry. He began his career at the Ford Motor Company in 1988 where he held different management positions mainly in the paint area of various assembly plants. For the last nine years he was chief engineer in the global paint engineering division.
As CEO and president, Boss will be responsible for Dürr’s overall activities in the areas of paint and final assembly, application technology and clean technology in North America.
“Mike has a high level of expertise in paint engineering, and knows the automotive industry very well,” says Welsch, who will be a member of the board of Dürr Systems AG, and be responsible for the worldwide activities of Dürr’s Paint and Final Assembly Systems division.
