2024 Ford Mustang Color Options
The seventh-generation Mustang will soon be rolling out of Michigan's Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant.
Speaking to the design of the model year 2024 American sports car (which, interestingly enough, happens to be the world’s best-selling sports coupe), Christopher Walter, Ford Mustang design manager, said, “The new Mustang is more chiseled and edgier, leaning into Mustang’s classic brawniness and timelessness.”
It is worth noting that the Mustang is an absolutely significant car for the Ford Motor Company as it is the only car available in the U.S. market, with all of the other vehicles available from the Blue Oval being utilities or pickups. (The Mustang Mach-E is a crossover.)
The new model will be available as a hardtop or convertible, automatic or manual, 2.3-liter four or 5.0-liter V8.
The available colors for the ’24 Mustang have just been released — there are 12 in total (view in the slideshow above).
In addition to the exterior colors, there are three Brembo brake caliper colors: Black, Red and Grabber.
What’s more, there is the factory-installed Bronze Design Series Appearance Package; it includes “Sinister Bronze” alloy wheels with bronze badges.
A Thought About the Palette
For the most part, Ford design is checking the boxes when it comes to the most popular colors.
Using the BASF Color Report 2022 for the North American market, the top colors and percentage of demand are:
- White: 33%
- Black: 22%
- Gray: 15%
- Silver: 8%
- Blue: 10%
- Red: 7%
The only outlier in the choice of colors is Yellow Splash, as according to the BASF study, Yellow is at 1%.
However, when it comes to sports cars, buyers are likely — if not certainly — more expressive in their choices.
