Water-Break Test
Question: Is there a standard for performing the water-break test?
Question:
Is there a standard for performing the water-break test? We have been using this procedure for many years and until recently had never heard of a standard being available. P. M.
Answer:
I am asked this question very often and the bottom-line answer is yes. The standard that you are referring to is ASTM F22-02. This standard replaced an earlier one, ASTM F22-65. The standard as written is not a production line procedure but a laboratory procedure. You can obtain a copy of the procedure from ASTM International, www.astm.org.
