This photo from Triplex Plating (Michigan City, Ind.) showcases float switch steel components that are zinc barrel plated to ASTM B633 Fe/Zn 5 Type V using Pavco chloride zinc and HyProTec chromate. “We often extrapolate barrel capacity utilizing assumptions of perfect spherical parts such as cannonballs. It’s always a treat to test our math when parts like these come through the shop door,” says Triplex chief operating officer Jesse Baldwin. “We have invested heavily in automation that helps us maintain high-quality parts.”
Triplex Plating boasts over 83 years of plating experience spanning four generations. The company has barrel and rack capabilities and is located 60 minutes east of downtown Chicago, servicing Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan.
