Coventya’s Turkish team was recently awarded the Leipziger Galvanopreis for its Castelox process. The prize is awarded annually by the DGO group in Leipzig, Germany, for outstanding achievement in the field of surface finishing. A committee of experienced plating experts assessed proposals and selected the winner. The award’s criteria included uniqueness, scientific approach, added value for the industry, market introduction, economic viability, publications and patents. After receiving the award, Coventya’s team made a presentation about the Castelox technology to more than 250 conference attendees in Leipzig. Coventya team members who helped develop the technology includes Güney Akdaş, Pınar Afsin and Can Akyil.
