Dynapower Expands Commitment to Sustainability
Dynapower leverages clean energy focus to better serve metal finishing customer base.
Earlier this year, Dynapower (South Burlington, VT), a global manufacturer of power conversion products, announced an expanded commitment to powering a cleaner planet — backed by new corporate branding, innovative technologies, and extended sustainability practices. This focus has several positive implications for their customer base in the finishing industry.
“As we work toward a clean energy future, we remain deeply committed to serving our customers across all markets, including metal finishing,” said Adam M. Knudsen, President and CEO of Dynapower.

This environmental commitment has propelled significant company growth, which has led to a doubling of Dynapower’s field service staff. Because of this, field service response times across all industries have shortened. In addition, service technicians are being cross-trained in both clean energy and power systems, allowing them to support customers with energy efficiency and power reliability expertise, such as finding ways to operate power conversion equipment more efficiently or providing solutions to improve power delivery to the plant.
Dynapower’s expansion brings investment in the development of new products to better serve the needs of the metal finishing industry, including their RapidX SCR and RapidX Modular Air-Cooled Switchmode product lines and their Multi-Unit Rectifier Controller and PC-Based Process Controller.
The company is also working to engineer products that are longer-lasting, easier to repair, more energy efficient, and built more sustainably — helping to lower the total cost of ownership for many Dynapower products. Additional advancements in product lines used in the clean energy market, like rectifiers used in the production of green hydrogen, will help bring economies of scale to lower costs.
“In addition to more sustainable products and faster service response times, we’re looking forward to lending our support and expertise to our customers in their green initiatives, to help them reduce their carbon footprint and join in the clean energy movement,” said Brandon Sorensen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Dynapower. “We’ve already had several inquiries from our metal finishing customers about behind-the-meter filtering and battery energy storage for their facilities.”
“As the power and energy landscape of the world rapidly evolves, the push toward clean energy is mission-critical,” said Knudsen. “From our daily operations to product innovation, we’re connecting power to purpose by progressing the urgent transformation to a cleaner world to ensure the health and sustainability of our planet.”
