Gema North America Promotes Chris Merritt to Vice President

Gema USA Inc. has promoted Chris Merritt to vice president, Gema North America. In this role, Merritt will be leading strategic development and growth initiatives within North America.
Merritt has worked more than 38 years with Gema in multiple positions. From 2006 to his promotion, he was general manager, Gema North America. Merritt is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in mechanical engineering technology as well as illustration. Entering the finishing industry in 1984, Merritt started as an engineer within the powder equipment group of Ransburg Gema, a division of the Ransburg Corp. Merritt’s work experience includes positions in sales, engineering and management.
Throughout his career, Merritt has been an active participant and leader within the powder coating industry. As a published author and speaker about powder coating, Merritt actively presents at a variety of technical conferences and training classes. He is a member of several industry associations and a strong supporter of the powder coating industry trade association, The Powder Coating Institute (PCI). He has served in a variety of leadership roles within PCI and is currently serving on the PCI board of directors executive committee. Merritt also holds several U.S. patents related to the powder coating industry.
