Scholarships for Students in Finishing-Focused Programs
The CCAI is offering a number of scholarships for students enrolled in technical college programs or four-year degree programs in areas such as engineering, chemistry, polymer science and more.
Applications are now being accepted for Chemical Coaters Association International’s (CCAI) Matt Heuertz Scholarship Program. The program awards students who are pursuing advanced education that could lead to a career in industrial finishing. This includes students enrolled in technical college programs as well as four-year degree programs in areas such as engineering, chemistry, polymer science and more.
Qualified applications will be reviewed by the CCAI Finishing Education Foundation’s board of directors. Award amounts vary and scholarship recipients will receive a free one-year CCAI student membership. Applications will also be sent to CCAI regional chapters that provide additional scholarship funding for students in their area.
Applicants must complete a scholarship application, provide a transcript or other grade verification, essay, reference and a resume. The application deadline is April 1, 2022.
In addition to the Matt Heuertz National Scholarship, several CCAI chapters offer additional scholarships to applicants in their region.
The CCAI Twin Cities chapter scholarship program is open to high school and college students and people in the industry that are going back to school to advance their education. Applications must be received by April 19, 2022.
In addition, the CCAI West Michigan chapter is also offering a scholarship, with applications being accepted until May 15, 2022.
Lastly, the CCAI Wisconsin chapter offers three named scholarships (James F. Wright, David J. Wright and James Steffes) in addition to several general scholarships to promote interest and awareness of career opportunities in the finishing industry. Applications must be received by April 15, 2022.
