South Coast AQMD to Hold Working Group Meeting

South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) staff has scheduled a Working Group Meeting for Proposed Rule 1426.1 - Point Source Hexavalent Chromium Emissions from Metal Finishing Operations (PR 1426.1). The meeting will provide a brief background on hexavalent chromium, an overview of metal finishing regulations, the initial regulatory focus of PR 1426.1 and background on the rule development process. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. PST over Zoom.
To ensure safe social distancing and to be consistent with Governor Newsom's Executive Order N-29-20 (March 18, 2020), South Coast AQMD’s working group meetings will only be conducted via video conferencing, which can be accessed via your computer or smart phone. Alternatively, stakeholders can phone in to participate.
The organization says it understands that this is not the same as a face-to-face working group meeting; however, staff will take the time to listen to comments from all stakeholders. For general questions or concerns about these meetings or their format, contact Heather Farr at HFarr@aqmd.gov or (909) 396-3672.
