The Interpon Futura Collection from AkzoNobel Powder Coatings offers 54 distinct colors under three on-trend color palettes — Merging World, Healing Nature and Soft Abstraction — helping designers and architects connect to developments in the built environment.
Each palette offers a different range of colors. Merging Worlds has deep, crimson reds and subtle browns, elevating materials like natural wood and brick. The Healing Nature palette is comprised of greens and earthy tones as well as organic shapes and unrefined patterns, focused on invoking a reconnection with the world, health and well-being. Neutral, soft tone color shades and fine metallics make up the Soft Abstraction palette, laying the foundations for connecting and recharging.
The range aims to deliver a superdurable performance with a warranty up to 20 years, enabling architectural creations to stand the test of time. As a powder coating, the collection uses no solvent emissions or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and supports AkzoNobel’s broader sustainability goals. The company has committed to reducing carbon emissions by 50% in the value chain and using 100% renewable energy by 2030 as it looks to lead a revolution in sustainability. In addition, the company says the Environmental Product Declaration from the Interpon range helps real estate owners and developers to achieve points toward Green Building certification.
Building on its presence in the architectural powder coatings market, AkzoNobel says the collection is the result of testing and scientific research by its trend and color specialists involved in the building and construction sector. It is also the result of more than two decades of evolution, during which time the collections have inspired designs all over the world.
“The Interpon Futura Collection has been created with the future in mind,” says Alan Alex, commercial director, North America of AkzoNobel Powder Coatings. “Our new collection provides architects with world-class colors that enable them to bring their imagination to life. It also provides a sustainable choice in powder coatings that both protects buildings and lowers the environmental footprint compared to other coating solutions.”
