Powder Coating Offers Chrome Plating Effect
Interpon Cr powder coating offers a sustainable, durable, flexible alternative to chrome plating.
Interpon, a brand of AkzoNobel (Reading, Pa.), has announced a new powder coating that enables general trade coaters (GTCs), OEMs and designers to deliver the style and appearance of chrome plating but with a powder coating.
Interpon Cr provides a sustainable alternative that the company claims is free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and produces no hazardous waste. With a simplified finishing process, customers can produce a brilliant metallic-effect finish that is less harmful to the environment. Designed for metal furniture, the automotive aftermarket, components and fittings, lighting, leisure equipment, retail displays and small household appliances, the powder coating is applied in a two-step process, requiring no additional preparation steps, such as grinding and polishing.
