Room-Temp Anodic Seals Outperform Hot Dichromate Seals
At Sur/Fin 2018, Chemeon will highlight the performance of its TCP-HF (hexavalent-free) and TCP-NP (no-prep) room-temperature anodic seals in independent third-party testing.
Chemeon will highlight the performance of its TCP-HF (hexavalent-free) and TCP-NP (no-prep) room-temperature anodic seals in independent third-party testing. These results were presented at the Florida Finishers Corporation Mid-Winter Conference and as part of public comments before California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD).
Key findings, which will be discussed by the company’s vice president of technology, Dr. Sjon Westre, were that, overall, the products applied as room-temperature anodic seals exceeded the performance of standard hot dichromate seals (sodium dichromate/dilute chrome), while minimizing the time and energy necessary to run heated tanks and eliminating the use of the carcinogen hexavalent chrome in the anodizing line.Related Content
