Dip-Spin Painting Equipment
I am interested in finding out information regarding the size of the market for dip spin finishing equipment. Information regarding suppliers of the coatings and equipment would be helpful.
Q. My company is a supplier of specialty equipment, and one of our new products is a dip-spin coating machine. One of my jobs is marketing. I am interested in finding out information regarding the size of the market for dip spin finishing equipment.
We have already constructed a limited number of machines, but need additional information regarding the types of products and coating materials used with this process. The machines we have constructed have capacities of 20,000 lb/hr, but we are not sure of the market for such large capacities. Information regarding suppliers of the coatings and equipment would be helpful. M.L.
A. Dip-spin finishing is a great method for coating large numbers of small and difficult to hang parts.
Although I know that a reasonable number of dip-spin coaters are sold, I am not sure of the market for that equipment. The 2008 PRODUCTS FINISHING DIRECTORY AND TECHNOLOGY GUIDE lists companies who can supply coatings for this method. They are listed under Chemical Coatings. I’m not sure they will really be interested in helping you, but suppliers of Painting Equipment, centrifugal are also listed in addition to suppliers of Painting Equipment, dip-spin. There are also industry consultants who can tell you everything you want to know about dip-spin painting, listed under Consultants, independent, organic finishing.
