Inaugural Men as Allies Conference Takes Place February 2025
First-ever Men as Allies Conference is designed for male leaders and managers in the manufacturing industry who are dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion within their organizations.
The Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Association is hosting the inaugural Men as Allies Conference taking place Feb. 19-20, 2025, in Clearwater Beach, Florida. This conference is designed for male leaders and managers in the manufacturing industry who are committed to fostering greater collaboration and inclusion within their teams.
The Men as Allies Conference will offer an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of allyship, engage in vital conversations about gender equity and leave armed with actionable strategies to drive meaningful, inclusive change in their workplaces.
Sessions include presentations on what allyship is and why it matters, the business case for gender equity, enhancing allyship through emotional intelligence, allyship in action and creating an allyship action plan. The conference will also feature small, interactive breakout sessions and expert panel discussions, all aimed at equipping attendees with concrete tools and ideas to elevate their role as allies in the workplace.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Rich Stinson, CEO and president of Southwire Co., and the conference will close with a keynote by Barry Powell, president and regional CEO of Siemens Electrical Products.
