PCI’s Powder Coating 2019 Technical Program Features Keynotes, Displays
The Powder Coating Institute’s 2019 Technical Conference and Tabletop Exhibition will be held April 1-4 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida.
The Powder Coating Institute’s (PCI) 2019 Technical Conference and Tabletop Exhibition will be held April 1-4, 2019 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida. The conference features general sessions and breakout sessions covering aspects of powder coating and a tabletop exhibition. These sessions will enable networking, learning and conversation with exhibitors and other powder coaters.
PCI’s four-day event opens with Powder Coating 101: Basic Essentials Workshop and a Custom Coater Forum on April 1-2, with the conference and exhibition following on April 3-4. The tabletop display will feature powder coating manufacturers, powder coating application equipment companies, system houses, chemical suppliers and various services that support the powder coating industry.
One of the keynotes will be Dr. Amber Selking from Lippert Component, who will present “From Surviving to Thriving: Changing Your Corporate Culture.” The speech will focus on finding and keeping skilled staff, which her company succeeded in, with an 85 percent reduction in employee attrition.
The second day of the program opens with a keynote from Al Bohlen, president of Mazak Optonics, who will present “Adhesion Advancements in Laser Cutting That Improve Powder Coating Performance.” Bohlen will discuss the advancements of laser cutting techniques specifically designed for paint adhesion.
