We refurbish LPG cylinders and apply powder coating over the shot-blasted cylinders, but we have trouble getting coverage into the deep areas where the collar and foot-ring are welded onto the pressure vessel. I am looking for a nozzle that can resolve this problem.
What pretreatment process and conversion coating would you recommend for plating and powder coating on fluid-handling tubes, some of which are bent before powder coating and some after?
Is our process for pretreatment and powder coating of outdoor enclosures good enough to prevent rust from appearing, and, if so, how long would it last?
We apply a metallic, silver powder to sandblasted parts, many of which are also processed through a five-stage iron-phosphate wash system. We have a lot of problems with the pigment “bunching” and standing up on the edges, and cannot seem to eliminate the problem.
We currently are using spray guns where we can only control the KV and not the micro amps and are having a problem with the film thickness of a particular polyolefin powder.
