Caplugs (Buffalo, New York) is acquiring Safeplast as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to expand its hose protection capabilities.

The transition is intended to offer customers a broader selection of standard products, a full range of specialty wrap products and an array of complementary products — available from a single source for all their hose protection needs. As part of the acquisition, manufacturing of Safeplast products moves from South Carolina to the Caplugs headquarters in Buffalo.

“Safeplast’s offerings are a great complement to Caplugs’ line of Pig’s Tail products, allowing us to best serve our customers,” says David Williams, Caplugs’ president and CEO. “This acquisition allows us to provide a comprehensive range of the highest quality parts on the market, as well as expert solutions.”

Safeplast is known for its hose protection manufacturing. Specializing in developing and manufacturing high-quality hose protection spirals, sleeves and rugged, durable bundling straps, the company’s products can be used in environments ranging from construction to forestry, the company says. Anywhere there is a hydraulic or pneumatic hose, Safeplast’s products have an application.

In addition, Safeplast parts can be used to protect both hoses and operators. Paired with Caplugs’ existing Pig’s Tail hose guard solutions, customers are given access to a breadth of styles and sizes. Options such as custom printing and cut-to-order lengths are also available to meet a diverse array of user needs.

Customers can expect access to Safeplast’s complete line of durable hose protection alongside Caplugs’ full catalog line of product protection with more than 40,000 parts and custom molding capabilities.
