PCI Awards 2018 Scholarships

A total of $25,000 was awarded in the 2018 program, which includes donations of $5,000 each from corporate donors Axalta Coating Systems, Gema USA and Nordson Corp.

The Powder Coating Institute (PCI) recently awarded $25,000 in scholarships to students who are studying various subjects that can lead to a career in powder coating. A total of $25,000 was awarded in the 2018 program, which includes donations of $5,000 each from corporate donors Axalta Coating Systems, Gema USA and Nordson Corp.

“The deserving recipients represent the future of our industry, and PCI is pleased to support their goals,” says Trena Benson, PCI executive director.

Corporate scholarships and their awardees include: PCI/Axalta Scholarship to Alison Rohly, North Dakota State University; PCI/Gema Scholarship to Hayden Castagno, Brigham Young University-Idaho; and PCI/Nordson Builds Scholarship to Emily Chojecki, Purdue University.

General PCI scholarships were awarded to Alexis Corda, Purdue University; Maggie Sackse, University of Oregon; and Alyson Sillin, University of Oregon.
