Pneu-Mech Systems President Jim Andrews and Vice President of Sales Jerry Trostle are purchasing the North Carolina company, which manufactures paint finishing systems and equipment.
Pneu-Mech Systems Mfg. LLC President Jim Andrews and Vice President of Sales Jerry Trostle are purchasing the company from its owners. The sale will be finalized in January. The company, which is located in Statesville, North Carolina, manufactures paint finishing systems and equipment.
“Jerry and I are very excited about this new step for Pneu-Mech,” Andrews says. “This is a very good company with great people, and we just could not pass up the opportunity to become its owners.”
Andrews has been with Pneu-Mech Systems for 15 years and was named president in 2011. Trostle joined the company in 2012 as sales manager after working in the finishing industry for several decades. As vice president, he has been responsible for Pne-Mech’s sales and new product development.
“This is something Jim and I have been discussing for quite some time, and we are happy it was able to finally come together,” Trostle says. “We have a great team in place; our goal is to build on our strengths and take the organization to a new level.”
Pneu-Mech Systems was started in 1991 by a management group of six individuals who had worked together in the industrial sheet metal fabrication business since 1973. Originally involved in producing air filtration systems, the company in 1980 began manufacturing finishing systems for the furniture industry. Since then, Pneu-Mech has directed its efforts almost exclusively towards finishing systems equipment for both liquid and powder coating for the metal, wood and composite industries.
The company has more than 75 employees at its North Carolina facility, where it produces both complete turnkey systems and individual finishing system component parts.
