Updated Aluminum Finishes Documents Suite
AAMA 2063, 2064 and 2065 have been updated to help users make informed decisions about the types of aluminum finishes they need for their projects.
The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) (Schaumburg, Illinois) released three updated documents describing test procedures and performance requirements for organic coatings applied to aluminum extrusions and panels for architectural products. AAMA 2063, 2604 and 2605 are all revised for 2022 and available for purchase.
“The updated 2022 version of AAMA 2603, 2604 and 2605 have significantly defined the new technologies of pretreatment on aluminum in Section 7.2.2 according to the chemical supplier's recommendation,” says Carl Troiano, chair of the FGIA AMC Finishes Committee. “Some of the other significant changes are Section 8.9 on weathering and Section 8.4 for Peel Adhesion. These documents are the guidelines for aluminum finishes on organic coatings on aluminum and will help guide architects and specifiers in their choice of choosing the correct type of performance for their specific projects."
AAMA 2603-22, AAMA 2604-22 and AAMA 2605-22, as well as other AAMA documents available from FGIA, can be purchased from the online store.
