Vitracoat Announces New VP of Technology and President

Independent powder supplier Vitracoat Inc., announces two promotions: Mileidys Bello to vice president of technology, and Steve Houston as president, responsible for overseeing operations in the U.S. and Canada.

Over her four-year tenure at Vitracoat, Bellos has overseen the entire powder coating portfolio, driving innovation, maintaining product integrity and championing stewardship. She has also established an Innovation Research team, propelling the company to technological advancements. In her new role, Bellos will continue to build on these successes, steering Vitracoat toward further innovation and excellence.

Mileidys brings more than 30 years of experience in the powder coating industry. She began her career with Herberts O’Brien as a senior chemist and later became the national product manager at DuPont Powder Coatings. Her recent roles at Axalta Coating Systems include technical product leader, technical manager and product steward.

Bellos holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. She is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and has completed professional training in principles of project management.

Since joining Vitracoat in 2018, Steve Houston has held various leadership roles, most recently serving as vice president, business director. Under his leadership, Vitracoat has achieved high market growth; Houston spearheaded the opening of the Innovation Research Center in Houston, Texas, enhancing product development and performance, and led the design, construction and expansion of a state-of-the-art production facility in Houston. He has also built an industry-leading team in the U.S. In his new role, he will continue to drive Vitracoat’s success and innovation.

Houston has managed large sales organizations, technical support teams, and research and development groups. He has extensive experience as a speaker and trainer for powder coatings. He previously served as DuPont’s marketing and sales excellence leader for the Coatings and Color Technologies Platform, and as global marketing director for the Industrial Coatings Division. He also held the position of vice president of sales, marketing and business expansion for the powder division of RPM.
