Process Technology offers UL-listed branch fusing enclosures customized for specific heater/control combinations.
According to the company, a standard temperature-control enclosure contains a switching contactor rated to hold a maximum of only two or three electric heaters. If there is a larger quantity of heaters or the total current draw of the heaters exceeds 48 amps, the NEC code requires customers to install branch wiring with circuit protection.
