Question:
I have just started my enterprise and couldn’t find any information on anodizing using a high start-up amperage versus a more slow and even increase of amperage within the first seconds of having the load in the tank.
Question:
In an article that you wrote in the Aluminum Anodizing Clinic regarding the quality of deionized water, you said that high-quality DI water is very important in the anodizing bath.
Question:
In past Anodizing Clinics you have talked about duplex sealing using, first, a relatively concentrated (3–5% by weight) nickel acetate bath followed by sealing in deionized water as a good way to seal dyed anodic coatings.
Question:
I am curious to know if there is any information on light-fastness of black dyed hardcoat vs. the concentration, time and/or temperature of the nickel acetate seal.
We are thinking about anodizing and before we get any further into that we would like your opinion about that type of finish on this product. Is it practical to do this? What are some of the things we should be aware of as we look for an anodizer?
Question:
Sometimes after using the caustic etch to strip the anodic coating off parts that are being reworked, we have noticed blotchy areas on the parts.
