Hybrid Coatings Reduce VOC Output
HMG Paints Ltd. unveils a hybrid paint range for metal fabrication that combines the performance of solvent-based paints with the eco-friendly advantages of water-based options.
HMG Paints Ltd. (Manchester, UK) has launched Hydrosol, a range of hybrid coatings designed for the metal fabrication marketplace.
These protective coatings bring together solvent-based paints with the environmental advantages of water-based products, enabling users to reduce their VOC output without compromising performance.
The first product to launch in this range is hydrosol QD primer. The hydrosol QD primer is an alkyd-based, quick-drying primer. Ideal for use on suitably prepared structural steel, chassis and steel fabrications, this primer can be applied using either roller, airless or conventional spray methods.
"Our new Hydrosol QD Primer represents a significant advancement in protective coatings and is a testament to the work done by our R&D team to bring innovations to the market," says Paddy Dyson, marketing manager of HMG Paints.
The second product set to soon join the range will be hydrosol compliant DTM, a direct-to-metal paint that users can apply directly to bare or primed metal surfaces. With lower VOCs in comparison to solvent-based equivalent products and available in a range of colors including RAL & BS, this next product in the range will be the ideal choice for OEMs and refinishers.
