Coatings company Mankiewicz (Charleston, S.C.) welcomes René Lang as the new head of its aviation business. Lang is an accomplished chemical engineer and manager, with Mankiewicz pointing to his experience at BASF Coatings as particularly impressive.
“I am impressed by the product portfolio and the extremely interesting aviation market,” says Lang. “I am sure that, together with our customers, we will quickly navigate around the current crisis.”
Lang succeeds Andreas Ossenkopf, who left his position with Mankiewicz to pursue new challenges. However, Ossenkopf will continue to be available for certain projects with the company.

“We are grateful for Andreas’ especially motivating optimism, inventiveness and strength in realizing ideas,” says Michael Grau, CEO and owner of Mankiewicz, as he wishes Ossenkopf well. “He and his team have written aviation coatings history in recent decades.”
