Assured Testing Services has moved into a 26,000-ft.2 purpose-built facility, where it can perform virtually all automotive corrosion and cyclic corrosion tests specified for plating and anodizing applications, including GMW 3286, GMW 14872, Ford L-467, SAE J2334 and various transplant specs. Testing is performed in automated, PLC-controlled chambers to ensure accuracy and reproducibility, and to allow 24/7 exposure, minimizing test duration.
Multiple chambers eliminate any testing exposure backlogs. Comparative testing of different platings, plating thicknesses, and post plating treatments is a performed regularly.
The company is ISO 17025, Nadcap and AAMA accredited. In addition to automotive, it serves the aerospace, defense, marine, architectural and agricultural markets, providing testing to a variety of platers, anodizers, and pretreatment and plating chemical suppliers.
It also can provide physical testing of plating and anodizing properties such as thickness, adhesion, microhardness, chemical/thermal resistance and hydrogen embrittlement. Other accelerated exposure options include salt spray, humidity, SWAAT, Kesternich, ASTM G85, CASS, UV and xenon.Related Content
